Requested the Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit, Social Development to incorporate housing justice and data equity as core priorities in the Confronting Anti-Black Racism Advisory Committee's Work Plan.

The Ombudsman Toronto report (Item CC30.3 , May 22, 2025) underscores gaps in tenant protection in multi-tenant homes, disproportionately affecting Black, Indigenous, and racialized residents. Disaggregated race-based data collection is essential for identifying systemic barriers and informing equitable housing policy. CABRAC has a mandate to advance data-driven approaches that address anti-Black racism.

Economic and Community Development Committee request the Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit, Social Development to invite Toronto Community Housing, the Human Rights Office, People and Equity, and the Housing Secretariat to provide a presentation by Q1 2026 on initial findings and recommendations for systemic reforms on social housing.
