Staff's assessment indicates the criteria as set out in the Traffic Calming Policy has been satisfied. Therefore, speed humps should be installed on Brooklawn Avenue.

During the course of the investigation, Transportation staff discovered a discrepancy in the speed limit by-law regulation on Brooklawn Avenue, between Barkdene Hills and Sunnypoint Crescent (south intersection). Recommendation 3 will rectify this inconsistency.

Scarborough Community Council direct the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter the roadway for the installation of five speed humps on Brooklawn Avenue, between Barkdene Hills and Sunnypoint Crescent (south intersection), generally, as shown on Attachment 2, Drawing TC-546, dated August 2025, attached to the report entitled "Traffic Calming (Speed Humps) - Brooklawn Avenue" from the Director, Enforcement and Street Management, Transportation Services.
