The Toronto and East York Community Council: 1. Prohibited stopping at all times on the west side of Shaw Street, between Argyle Street and a point 24 metres further north. 2. Amended the existing one hour parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the west side of Shaw Street, between Argyle Street and Dundas Street West, to be in effect between Dundas Street West and a point 24 metres north of Argyle Street.

The local community at Argyle Street and Shaw Street have raised concerns regarding the intersection, as poor sight line visibility has created dangerous road conditions for both drivers and cyclists. Transportation Services has worked with our office to find a solution that will improve safety and visibility going forward.
Staff recommended
It is recommended that: 1. Toronto and East York Community Council prohibit stopping at all times on the west side of Shaw Street, between Argyle Street and a point 24 metres further north. 2. Toronto and East York Community Council amend the existing one hour parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the west side of Shaw Street, between Argyle Street and Dundas Street West, to be in effect between Dundas Street West and a point 24 metres north of Argyle Street.
