City Council to authorize $10,000 in Section 37 funds for a plaque commemorating Research Enterprises Limited in Leaside
Council is being asked to release $10,000 in reserve funds held under the Planning Act to Heritage Toronto for a commemorative plaque about Research Enterprises Limited, a Second World War Crown Corporation that was Leaside's largest employer and produced radar systems and optical instruments. The plaque will mark the company's history and complement interpretive signs planned for Radar Park.
