Call to Order

It is a moment to reflect on the importance of this land, which we each call home. We acknowledge the land we are meeting on is the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands. Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following: This special meeting of Council has been called for the following purposes: 1. To consider the following new business from the Mayor: a. C'est What Brewing at the Market By-the-Glass Permit Application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario; b. Rorschach Brewing Co. By-the-Glass Permit Application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario; c. Amending Item 2022.NY33.7 - 241 Redpath Avenue - Rental Housing Demolition Application - Final Report; d. Authorization to Release Section 37/45 Funds for upgrades to Seaton Park; and e. Team Canada Olympic Spirit(s): Extension of Alcohol Sales and Service Hours During 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, and 2. To introduce bills. Members of Council, this is a special meeting. Under Council's Procedures, no new business items, such as Motions without Notice, may be introduced. This rule cannot be waived.
