  Toronto Transit Commission - Selection of Candidates for Interview

  The Civic Appointments Committee must select candidates to interview for appointment to the Toronto Transit Commission. Following the interviews, the Civic Appointments Committee will recommend two public members for appointment to City Council.

  The Civic Appointments Committee: 1. Selected the following candidates for interview for appointment to the Toronto Transit Commission: Candidate #2-16 Candidate #2-37 Candidate #2-47 Candidate #2-66 Candidate #2-89 Candidate #2-102 2. Directed that Confidential Attachments 1, 2 and 3 to the report (February 4, 2019) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Transit Commission.

  Staff recommendation as filed

  The City Clerk recommends that: 1. The Civic Appointments Committee select six of the candidates listed in Confidential Attachment 1 for interview at its next meeting for appointment to the Toronto Transit Commission. 2. The Civic Appointments Committee direct that the confidential information contained in Confidential Attachments 1, 2 and 3 remain confidential in its entirety as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Transit Commission.

  Appointment of a Public Member to the Toronto Public Library Board to fill a Vacancy

  City Council at its January 30 and 31, 2019 meeting, adopted as amended Item CA2.2. City Council appointed seven public members to the Toronto Public Library Board. As a result of a candidate withdrawal, one vacancy on the Board still remains. City Council has requested the Civic Appointments Committee to give consideration to a vacancy on the Toronto Public Library Board at its earliest opportunity.

  The Civic Appointments Committee: 1. Selected the following candidates to be re-interviewed for appointment to the Toronto Public Library Board: Candidate #1-640 Candidate #1-686 Candidate #2-135
