City of Toronto Nominee to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board
This report brings forward the recommendation of a nominee to be considered for appointment by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board.
The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that: 1. City Council nominate the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (February 18, 2026) from the City Clerk for consideration by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority for appointment to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board for a three-year term commencing May 3, 2026. 2. City Council authorize the public release of the name and biography of the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (February 18, 2026) from the City Clerk, should the candidate be appointed by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to its Board of Directors. 3. Should the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (February 18, 2026) from the City Clerk be appointed by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to its Board of Directors, City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (February 18, 2026) from the City Clerk remain confidential as it relates to personal matters about an identifiable individual being considered for nomination to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board of Directors. 4. Should the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (February 18, 2026) from the City Clerk not be appointed by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to its Board of Directors, City Council direct that Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (February 18, 2026) from the City Clerk remain confidential in its entirety as it relates to personal matters about an identifiable individual being considered for nomination to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board of Directors.

Appointment of a Public Member to the Exhibition Place Board
The Civic Appointments Committee must select candidates to interview for appointment to the Exhibition Place Board. Following the interviews, the Civic Appointments Committee will recommend two candidates for appointment to City Council.
The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that: 1. City Council waive Section 8.3, Short-listing Process, and Section 8.6, Interviewing Candidates, of the City of Toronto Public Appointments Policy and appoint Sharleen Ahmed to the Exhibition Place Board of Governors, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on March 28, 2030, and until a successor is appointed. 2. City Council direct that Confidential Attachments 1a, 1b, and 2 to the report (February 18, 2026) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Exhibition Place Board of Governors.

Selection of Candidates for Interview for the Board of Directors of TO Live
The Civic Appointments Committee must select candidates to interview for appointment to the Board of Directors of TO Live. Following the interviews, the Civic Appointments Committee will recommend three candidates, including a Chair, for appointment to City Council.
The Civic Appointments Committee: 1. Referred item 2026.CA33.3 back to the City Clerk and directed the City Clerk to conduct further outreach for the appointment of public members to the Board of Directors of TO Live, to fill the remaining vacancies. 2. Directed that Confidential Attachments 1a, 1b, and 2 to the report (February 18, 2026) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Board of Directors of TO Live.

The Civic Appointments Committee must select candidates to interview for appointment to the Toronto Zoo Board. Following the interviews, the Civic Appointments Committee will recommend four candidates for appointment to City Council.
The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that: 1. City Council waive Section 8.3, Short-listing Process, and Section 8.6, Interviewing Candidates, of the City of Toronto Public Appointments Policy and appoint the following candidates to the Toronto Zoo Board of Management, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on March 28, 2030, and until successors are appointed: Ivan Hon; and Matthew Lombardi. 2.
