Recognition of Staff at Exhibition Place
Exhibition Place employee recognized by the Board for outstanding accomplishments: 1. Annually Exhibition Place submits applications for appropriate venue and exhibition industry award programs to both recognize, promote and communicate the incredible achievements and success stories of Exhibition Place. The application process involves intense research to fulfil the submission requirements, gathering and development all of the material, while continuing to look for creative ways to promote and recognize Exhibition Place in both North America and internationally. Although multiple departments may contribute to providing information, it is through the ongoing efforts of one staff member, Jennifer Foster, Administrative Assistant to the General Manager, who researches and writes all award submissions. Over the past 4 years alone, Exhibition Place has been formally recognized with 11 different industry awards and accreditations. 2. In 2024, the International Association of Venue Mangers (IAVM) selected Exhibition Place | Enercare Centre | Beanfield Centre as a recipient of their 2024 Venue Excellence Award. This award recognizes five IAVM venues of any type within the membership which demonstrate excellence in the management and operation of public assembly venues. Criteria and scoring of the Venue Excellence Awards reflects IAVM's six Value Statements: integrity, service, safety, education, advocacy and people first. Scoring of the Venue Excellence Award applications is performed by a review committee of peers, with final approval by the IAVM Board of Directors, which voted unanimously in favour of Exhibition Place's application. Gilles Bouchard, Andrew Landrigan, and Emma Miziolek who attended the IAVM Conference in Portland in August, received the award on behalf of Exhibition Place. Earlier this year Exhibition Place also received the Best Convention Centre award, from Exhibitor Magazine, an award juried by exhibitors from across North America recognizing exhibitor-friendly venues that consistently exceed expectations. 3. The time, effort, creativity, and dedication by Jennifer Foster, Administrative Assistant to the General Manager, has been outstanding and continues to keep Exhibition Place in the news.

One Year Agreement with Green Savoree Toronto (GST) ULC for Honda Indy at Exhibition Place
This report recommends a one-year agreement with Green Savoree Toronto ULC ("GST") for the 2025 Honda Indy race. The terms and conditions also protect the Board's right with respect to redevelopment of the Exhibition Place site.

Overview of the Adaptive Reuse of Heritage Buildings at Exhibition Place, 1966 to Present
This report provides a high-level overview of development on the Exhibition Place grounds over the past 60 years, including the implementation of the strategy of adaptive re-use of existing structures. This strategy has supported the rehabilitation and preservation of heritage properties as well as an increase in the number of events held annually at Exhibition Place.

Provision of Show Display Services Agreement - GES Canada Limited
This report recommends approving an agreement with GES Canada Limited ("GES") for the non-exclusive provision of show display services for a four-year term commencing January 1, 2024 with the substantial terms and conditions outlined in this report. This recommendation follows the competitive Request for Proposal process undertaken by Exhibition Place. Four companies experienced in the provision of these specialized services were invited to submit proposals.

Lease Agreement for the Horse Palace - Toronto Equestrian
This report recommends that The Board of Governors of Exhibition Place (the "Board") enter a five (5) year lease with the City of Toronto, as landlord, and Toronto Equestrian (the "Tenant") for the operation of the Toronto Equestrian Downtown riding school in a portion of the Horse Palace stables at Exhibition Place commencing January 1, 2025, and ending on December 31, 2029, with one option to extend for an additional five (5) years, substantially on the terms and conditions in Appendix A; subject to obtaining the necessary City of Toronto authorization.

Exhibition Place Economic Impact Study
Exhibition Place is a thriving hub for Canada's most significant conventions and exhibitions, entertainment, sporting events, and cultural attractions. Visitors to the many venues and events across Exhibition Place contribute to the local and regional economy. The events, conferences, tradeshows, and other activities at Exhibition Place attract guests who are critical sources of spending and economic activity for local businesses, airlines, hotels, retail, restaurants, transportation services, and the entire supply chain affected by the goods and services they provide. Appendix A contains an economic impact report prepared by HLT Advisory ("HLT"). using the Economic Impact Calculator ("EIC"), developed by Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics Company, and used by over 300 destinations worldwide, this study measures the direct and indirect economic impacts generated by events at Exhibition Place. Additionally, Exhibition Place manages and coordinates ancillary business activities that do not meet the modelling criteria for the EIC study. Financials from these enterprises are included in this study. In 2023, the study indicated that Exhibition Place generated an economic impact of $594.5 million. This independent study proves that trade and consumer show and other events are a major piece of the tourism industry which supports hotels, restaurants, and hundreds of businesses and jobs. These recurring positive impacts easily exceed amortized public capital costs and the benefits of events to the overall local, provincial, and federal economies. Staff from HLT will present a summary of the key findings from their report to the Board.

Extending the Mandate of the City’s Chief Information Security Officer
City Council on May 22 and 23, 2024, adopted Item EX14.3 and, in so doing, has: 1. Directed the Boards of the Agencies and, as Shareholder, directed the Boards of the Corporations set out in Part 2 [of Council's decision] to: a. provide the necessary information, access, and visibility into their cyber security programs to facilitate the cyber security risk management partnership with the Chief Information Security Officer; b. operationalize the Chief Information Security Officer's recommendations to mitigate cyber risks identified in the cyber security risk management partnership; and c. engage in consultation with the Chief Information Security Officer on all initiatives that could potentially affect cyber security, including but not limited to rates of compliance, remediation plans and strategies aimed at reducing risks and promoting compliance.

2025 Schedule of Board of Governors of Exhibition Place Meetings
In accordance with Board of Governors of Exhibition Place Procedure By-law, The Board determines the place, day and hour of its regular Meetings and the schedule of those Meetings shall be publicly available by the first Meeting of the Board in each calendar year. City Council on July 24 and 25, 2024 approved the 2025 schedule of meetings for City Council and its Committees. The schedule of meetings for the Board of Governors of Exhibition Place has been developed to avoid dates, whenever possible, that conflict with the approved City Council schedule; and to avoid days of cultural or religious significance.
