This report discusses the status of the Zoo Tripartite Agreement and the dialogue with Parks Canada regarding development of a Welcome Centre for the Rouge National Urban Park. A Welcome Centre as part of a Conservation Precinct in the vicinity of the Zoo is a shared vision and this report discusses the dialogue between Zoo staff and Parks Canada.

The Toronto Zoo has been approached with the unique opportunity to host a new iconic species, which is also a key symbol of the challenges animals are facing due to climate change. The acquisition of this species would be housed in a retrofitted portion of a current habitat and would be on loan to the Zoo for a minimum of three years.
