The purpose of this motion is to request the General Manager, Transportation Services, to provide traffic and pedestrian safety management plan to address the most challenging traffic and pedestrian safety issues along Eglinton Avenue West from Allen Road to Old Park Road, due to constant traffic violations which include illegal U-turns, speeding, and driving on sidewalks by motorists trying to access the Allen Road. Secondly, this motion requests that Metrolinx and Crosslinx Transit Solutions provide much needed pedestrian Crossing Assistance Personnel at the two specific locations specified along stretch of Eglinton Avenue West that Metrolinx's Crosstown LRT project occupies.
