The property owner of Sherman Campus, a recreational, educational and social Jewish Community Centre at 4588 Bathurst Street is proposing to install and maintain an electronic ground sign at the southern corner of the driveway entrance of the property on the west side of Bathurst Street.. The proposed sign will be constructed of aluminum angular frames and vinyl overlay measuring 0.51 metre in thickness, 3.43 metres in width, and 6.02 metres in height above ground and 2.44 metres depth, located in the City's right of way.

Transportation Services requires North York Community Council's authority to permit the installation of the above mentioned ground sign and enter into an encroachment agreement with the property owner based on the submitted plans and applicable By-laws. The proposed electronic ground sign on the public right of way does not meet the requirements of the City of Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 743, Streets and Sidewalks, Use of, for delegated approval as an encroachment by the General Manager, Transportation Services. Notwithstanding, Transportation Services does not have any objections to the proposed sign.
