This amendment is required to ensure the initial period remains in compliance along with the subsequent option years through to April 30, 2025. Covid-19 response including regulatory and programming requirements in parks and open spaces from 2020 to 2022 resulted in a significant increase in use of portable toilets and handwashing stations, when compared to the historical use of these units. As a result, estimated demand for future use for the remainder of the contract remains at an expanded level, this amendment is intended to avoid overspending of the contract over its remaining life until April 30, 2025. The total value of the Blanket Contract Amendment being requested is for an additional $1,801,368.91 net of all applicable taxes and charges ($1,833,073.00 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries) revising the current blanket contract value from $748,417 to $2,549,786 excluding Harmonized Sales Tax ($2,594,662 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries).
