The Etobicoke York Community Council: 1. Authorized the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Grovedale Avenue between Blue Springs Road and Erie Street. 2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a By-law to alter the roadway to install seven speed humps on Grovedale Avenue between Blue Springs Road and Erie Street, generally as shown on Attachment 1, Drawing ATP-SH-120 and Attachment 2, Drawing ATP-SH-121 dated August 2025 and attached to the letter (September 11, 2025) from Councillor Frances Nunziata.

The residents of Grovedale Avenue, between Erie Street and Blue Springs Road, submitted a petition to my office requesting the installation of speed humps. Following this, my office conducted an internal poll, in which residents voted overwhelmingly in favor of the installation, with a result of 22-4. The proposed traffic calming (Speed Humps) measures will improve safety and promote the orderly flow of traffic for the community.

Councillor Nunziata recommends that Etobicoke York Community Council: 1. Authorize the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Grovedale Avenue between Blue Springs Road and Erie Street. 2. Direct the City Solicitor to prepare a By-law to alter the roadway to install seven speed humps on Grovedale Avenue between Blue Springs Road and Erie Street, generally as shown on attached Drawing No. ATP-SH-120 and Drawing No. ATP-SH-121 dated August 2025.
