Intention to Designate under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act - 58 Wheatfield Road
This report recommends that City Council state its intention to designate the heritage property at 58 Wheatfield Road under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act. The property is listed on the City of Toronto's Heritage Register. Heritage Preservation Services has received a "Notice of Intention to Demolish a Listed Building or Structure under the Ontario Heritage Act" from the owner of the property at 58 Wheatfield Road. Heritage Preservation Services has not deemed the application complete.
Etobicoke York Community Council recommends that: 1. City Council state its intention to designate the property at 58 Wheatfield Road under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act in accordance with the Statement of Significance: 58 Wheatfield Road (Reasons for Designation) attached as Attachment 3 to the report (February 7, 2019) from the Senior Manager, Heritage Preservation Services, Urban Design, City Planning. 2. If there are no objections to the designation, City Council authorize the City Solicitor to introduce the bill in Council designating the property under Part IV, Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act. 3. If there are objections in accordance with the Ontario Heritage Act, City Council direct the City Clerk to refer the designation to the Conservation Review Board. 4. If the designation is referred to the Conservation Review Board, City Council authorize the City Solicitor and appropriate staff to attend any hearing held by the Conservation Review Board in support of Council's decision on the designation of the property.

Residential Demolition Application - 27 Brownville Avenue
This staff report is about a matter for which the Etobicoke York Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision. On January 23, 2019, Toronto Building received a residential demolition application (19 107846 DEM 00 DM) to demolish a one-storey, single family dwelling with rear detached garage. No building permit application has been received for a replacement building. In accordance with City-wide residential demolition control under Article II, Demolition Control, of Municipal Code Chapter 363, as amended by By-law No. 1009-2006, enacted by City Council on September 27, 2006 under the authority of Section 33 of the Planning Act, this report refers the demolition permit application for 27 Brownville Avenue to the Etobicoke York Community Council to decide whether to grant or refuse the application, including any conditions, if any, to be attached to the permit.
Etobicoke York Community Council: 1. Approved the application to demolish the existing one-storey residential building at 27 Brownville Avenue with the following conditions: a. A construction fence be erected and maintained during the demolition, in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Code, Chapter 363, Article II. b. All debris and rubble be removed immediately after demolition. c. Any holes on the property be backfilled with clean fill. d. Sod be installed and maintained on the site, and the site be maintained free of garbage and weeds, in accordance with the Municipal Code Chapter 629-10, paragraph B and 629-11.

This report recommends that the name "Samuel Wood Way" be approved to identify a proposed private street at 5365 Dundas Street West. Community Councils have delegated authority to decide street naming matters which comply with the City of Toronto Street Naming Policy.

Exclusive Right Turn Lane - Eglinton Avenue West at Commerce Boulevard
The purpose of this report is to obtain approval for the designation of a one-way traffic lane, anytime, for the southerly eastbound lane on Eglinton Avenue West, between Commerce Boulevard and a point 30.5 metres west, in the eastbound right-turning direction, buses excepted. It is appropriate to install an exclusive eastbound right turn lane based on the existing lane configuration and our observations. Since the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates transit service on Eglinton Avenue West, City Council approval of this report is required.

Traffic Control Signals - Dundas Street West and Acorn Avenue/Private Driveway Access
Since the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) operates a transit service on Dundas Street West, City Council approval of this report is required. The purpose of this report is to obtain approval for the installation of traffic control signals at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Acorn Avenue/Private Driveway Access. As part of conditions of site plan approval of the Metrolinx Kipling Bus Terminal Project, traffic control signals are to be installed at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Acorn Avenue/Private Driveway Access. To deter short-cut traffic into the residential community on the north side of Dundas Street West, it is also recommended, as per conditions of site plan approval, that northbound and southbound straight through movements be prohibited at all times, at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Acorn Drive/Private Driveway Access, bicycles excepted.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. This report presents the results of staff's investigation on a traffic study conducted at the intersection of Delma Drive and Mitcham Drive to determine the feasibility for all-way stop controls. Although the technical warrants are not fully met, staff recommend the installation of an all-way stop control at the intersection of Delma Drive and Mitcham Drive. This would address the issue of the continued occurrence of angled type collisions at this intersection.

In 2017 Etobicoke York Community Council voted to support item EY23.36, a pilot project to close the pedestrian walkway between Acme Crescent and 1735 Kipling Avenue. I have received inquiries on the status of this pathway.
