Requested the City Clerk, the City Manager, and the President, Toronto Parking Authority, as part of their draft governance and procedural policy for the Board of Directors of Toronto Parking Authority, to report back on procedural rules to permit remote participation at Board meetings.

It may be useful to allow Board member participation in meetings via teleconference or videoconference from time to time. This is fairly standard for Boards of operating business corporations and is a topic that is relevant to the review of Toronto Parking Authority procedures with the recent creation of the new Board of Directors. It is also a useful tool to encourage full participation by Board members even when Board meeting dates change or are called on short notice.
